Charlie van Moyland for #TEAM CHLA
Charlie is in kindergarten! She is a confident, happy and outgoing five year old, thrilled to go to school and she loves her teachers. This was unimaginable five years ago when we were warned, due to her seizures, she might never be able to dress herself, let alone go to school.
Please join me to help raise funds for, and awareness of, this disease. As many of you know our daughter Charlie, at eight and a half months old, was diagnosed with Infantile Spasms, a rare and often devastating form of childhood epilepsy. Charlie had hundreds of seizures over the next few weeks, but because of the swift diagnosis and treatment by CHLA Charlie is now seizure free. None of this would have been possible without the support of our friends, family, co-workers, and most of all our doctors at CHLA.
Please join us at The Walk to End Epilepsy on November 5th and donate here to help #TEAMCHLA raise funds to #ENDEPILEPSY:
Charlie remains at risk of developing a new form of epilepsy but we are hopeful that in her lifetime there will be a cure. 5% of Americans suffer from epilepsy at some stage in their lives.
Please visit the EndEpilepsy website to see the huge impact your dollars have. http://endepilepsy.org/our-impact/
All the best,
Martha, Henry, Max and Charlie
