2017 Walk to End Epilepsy

Welcome to our team page for the Walk to End Epilepsy!

Friends and family,

On April 5th 2016 Dominic underwent a 6 hour brain surgery due to an Arachnoid cyst that was taking up 1/4 of his brain. His cyst was also causing a large amount of pressure on the other side of his brain which we believe is the cause of his Seizures. As if brain surgery before the age of 2 isn't enough, Dominic was also born without a thyroid which means he will be on medication for the rest of his life. We as a family will do whatever it takes to keep Dominic happy and healthy and this walk is a step in the right direction. Dominic has focal seizures which are designated to one part of his brain. Epilepsy is the most common serious brain disorder worldwide with no age, racial, social class, national nor geographic boundaries (World Health Organization). Seizures steal moments and memories, can change lives, impact development, affect learning and can even result in death. There is no cure.

For the reasons above and many more, we have banded together to participate in the Walk to End Epilepsy on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena to END EPILEPSY.

Shirts will be available for $10. Please let me know if you would like one along with your size. Your support makes a difference!

Thank you!
