Gen's Dare to Dream Team 4

Welcome Dreamers to Gen's Dare To Dream Team 4
Anyone who has a child can relate to the joy children bring. Our Genevieve brought so much happiness to the world. Although she struggled, she managed to go to school and work even when it was difficult. She just wanted to live a normal life like any other 20 something. Genevieve was kind and generous even when life was not always reciprocating. She exuded energy and could light up any room. Her laugh was contagious and most days she could be heard singing and dancing at all hours. And through this all she bore a burden no child should ever bear. She has an extremely aggressive form of epilepsy.
2 years ago our life was shattered when we tragically lost our Genevieve to SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death In Epilepsy) at the very young age of 21. We were blindsided by the cruel reality that is epilepsy. In the very years we should have been enjoying watching Gen move on to college, career and family, instead all we have are memories.
Gen’s battle with epilepsy made us all too aware of the struggles and stigmas associated with this relatively unspoken illness. It one of the most common and oldest illness, yet we have made very little progress with it. Awareness and research are key to moving this out of the shadows and here is where Gen wanted to change the world.
So today I pick up the torch and humbly ask for your help in this fight. Please join me as we continue our quest for a cure. Seizures steal moments and memories, can change lives, impact development, affect learning and as we learned too late can even result in death. THERE IS NO CURE.
For the reasons above and many more, we have banded together to participate in the Walk to End Epilepsy on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena to END EPILEPSY.

Please support our efforts by making a donation to the team or a member of the team. Your involvement provides care, advocacy and education today while investing in research and hope for tomorrow.

Your contribution makes a difference. Thank you!
