Team Wyatt & Auntie Shan

Friends & Family!

This year marks my 6th year bringing my favorite people together for a casual Sunday morning stroll. The event has grown from a few hundred people walking around a parking lot and a single In & Out Truck to last year where thousands walked, jogged, and strolled, around the Rose Bowl, played games and feasted from the many food trucks!

In case you don’t already know, epilepsy is one of the world’s most common, serious brain disorders worldwide with no age, racial, social class, national or geographic boundaries. Seizures steal moments and memories, can change lives, impact development, affect learning and even result in death. There are no cures. THAT’S WHY THIS WALK IS SO IMPORTANT! For the reasons above and many more, we walk!!

If you are new to this, Team Wyatt and Aunite Shan is named for my nephew Wyatt (Sparling) and myself, both who take daily doses of Depakote to ward off seizures that stem from a genetic form of Epilepsy. While we are both doing great and have had really good years, there are others who are have not been so lucky. It is for these people that we are walking, it is for my children and the children that Wyatt may someday have that could at any moment be diagnosed with epilepsy.

Please, please  join us on Sunday, November 5, 2017 (between 9a-12p) at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena for The Walk to END EPILEPSY. Your support is so desperatley needed. If you are unable to attend the event please make donation to TEAM WYATT & AUNTIE SHAN! Your involvement provides care, advocacy and education today while investing in research and hope for tomorrow.

My goal is that every person that views our team page can commit to donating or raising at least $100. Drew, Chase and Farrah are not exempt. There will be bake sales and lemonade stands...what will you do???

If you or anyone you know would like to be a sponsor for the walk and this amazing organization, please contact Shannon at shanspar@yahoo.com.

Thank you for making a difference. You are our lifeline and you are loved!
